What Is Scenes Model All About?

Before you go any further, you should try to figure out what kind of community you live in. If you do this, not only will it help the community, but it will also help your business. Scenes model is a way to show how communities can help your business. A fun twist on the SPACES model was made by the CMX community, and it's fun to look at.

What Are The Different Types Of Communities That You Can Build For Your Brand?

Support (S)

Organizes people to answer for each other in order to improve customer satisfaction and save money.

Contribution (C)

COPYRIGHT_MARX: Published on https://marxcommunications.com/scenes-model/ by Keith Peterson on 2022-03-25T07:31:37.703Z

An increase in successful contributions to a collaborative platform, project or initiative by people, ideas, or resources.

Establish (E)

Gathers feedback and ideas from members to make products and offerings better and more useful.

  • Community-led development
  • Community-led launch
  • Community-led growth

New Users (N)

Drives new customers, leads, and/or users through community experiences or brand advocates.

Engagement (E)

Improves loyalty and retention by forming a group of people who share a common goal. Customers or employees may be outside or inside (employees, vendors, alumni).

Success (S)

Connects customers so they can share their best practices and help each other get more customers to use the product.

You can, of course, make a group of people of more than one kind. Take, for example, the communities of DevRel. Short for "Developer Relations," the term DevRel refers to the relationship between the developer and the company.

As a group, DevRels work with the marketing, development, and product teams to make sure that everything works together. At its heart, DevRel is community management for people who are interested in tech. It's a goal of DevRel initiatives to get more developers to use the products they make, improve word of mouth, conduct training, and so on.

People who work for DevRel use a lot of high-quality touches and more in-depth education to get their message across. This is done through events like workshops, training sessions, and even hackathons. The main goal of DevRel activities is to get developers to talk to the company that is selling the product or solution so that they can give feedback and have more inclusive discussions about how to make the product or solution better in the future.

Regularly surveying developer audiences gives you an idea of what developers want, and this feedback is important to the whole company. Many of the people who make things in the community will also buy them in the future. A lot of people in DevRel communities have learned a lot about "E."

It's hard to classify communities into one type or the other because there are so many different types of communities. They came across an elephant and each one saw a different part of its body, like the tail, a leg, or a tusk. The story goes that the blind men came across the elephant. Their answers are so different from each other that they almost fight. They accuse each other of lying, and accuse them of not telling the truth.

Conclusion

Every early-stage founder's dream is to have a thriving, connected community of passionate users who are willing to help them. A shorthand for the fact that their startup has signs of product-market fit, it can generate a viral growth loop through user referrals, and it can aid in the creation of a brand that is known for strong ties and high-quality P2P support.
